I began the year, as is my tradition, with a ski vacation alongside my family in Italian alps.
I planned to take this opportunity to reflect on the previous year's accomplishments, outline new plans, and establish new objectives, when I am out of my daily routine and have a chance to look around.
Unfortunately, this year's vacation was difficult as I arrived feeling ill and exhausted by the previous and a very challenging year. Today marks the last day of my vacation, and I made an effort to push myself to the nearest coffee shop to begin "working".
Before I start mapping out the new year, it's essential to reflect on the most significant events of the previous one.
It was a year devoted to my profession. As you, maybe, already understood, I am very passionate about my job.
So, we expanded our markets to countries across the globe, including Emirates, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, and a few areas in Eastern Europe.
We also established a robust and supportive sales team, and now we sell our "state of the art" technological solution in 26 countries worldwide.
As a team, we tackled a crucial business challenge by transitioning our sales model from a one-time sale approach to a SaaS-based solution. Despite economic crises, currency fluctuations, and supply chain difficulties, we met our business targets as a team and as a company. On a personal level, it was a year of joyful togetherness for my family. We went on mutual vacations, after total blockage during Covid, spent more quality time together, and my children began to identify, plan, and pursue their life challenges in a more independent manner. In summary, my focus in 2022 was primarily on my family and my career.
In 2023, I plan to continue prioritizing them while also adding some of my personal goals to the list.
Firstly, I aim to discover a comfortable lifestyle that allows me to enjoy food and drink while still feeling healthy and athletic (trying to stabilize my weight changes).
Secondly, I want to spend more quality time with my children, supporting their needs, and with my husband, keeping our romance alive. Maybe I can think about adding a date once a month to our duet schedule.
Lastly, I aim to pursue my long-standing aspiration of launching my own sales course for kids, teens, and adults. My objective is to introduce a standardized sales "toolbox" in daily life that can assist individuals in overcoming their challenges and improving their quality of life. As we bid farewell to 2022, I welcome the new year, with all its challenges and surprises!
